And then she smiled.
Ihad been half expecting it though.
She had been sitting like a statue for so long. I had started believing she is a statue.
I had been busy since morning , experimenting with clay , and when she came up she looked like a statue.
She looked so delicate, I was scared to touch, lest I hurt her.
She looked what any Urdu “Shayar’’ would have called “SHOKH ”. .
She surpassed whatever Imagination I posessed.
Before I could reconcile to her smiling, she whispered something to me.
‘’WHEN YOU LOVE SOME ONE SO MUCH, YOU DO NOT REQUIRE CLAY TO MAKE STATUE. SHE WILL COME ALIVE IN YOUR THOUGHTS.’’
I got up with a start, and then I realized that I was dreaming of you.
